The Volunteers
The invaluable help of the volunteers has helped make Humbug Scrub Wildlife Sanctuary successful. The Sanctuary volunteers are vital in keeping the Sanctuary running 7 days a week.
The volunteers are involved in feeding the animals, greeting the visitors and ensuring the Sanctuary runs on a day to day basis, in conjunction with the Manager of the Sanctuary, Neville Bellchambers.
The Sanctuary has also utilised the Governments Work for the Dole scheme, which has proved very popular with participants. These participants help with the daily running of the Sanctuary as well as the upgrading of existing facilities. This scheme has allowed the Sanctuary to get many projects up and running.
